Sloan’s 3rd Annual Memorial

3 years. 1,096 days. That’s how long it’s been since my arms last felt the weight of your body. Since my fingers last felt the softness of your skin or ruffled the tufts of your hair. 3 years. 1,096 days since I last kissed your face or tickled your toes. For 3 years, for 1,096 days, you have danced among the stars, flitted about on dragonfly wings, and whispered into the wind, the words I have used to tell your story. Your absence is profound, but your presence is eternal.

Thank you for visiting me last night.
